There's a river of boiling blood bordering the cherry-red iron mountains of Hell...but where is the ferryman?
Sqirlz, Apophysis, Photoshop 7. The fractal itself reminds me of
's work. I didn't see any point in making a thumbnail only 150 pixels high of such a narrow animation so I made a still JPG of the same size, for preview.
Dante populated his Hell pretty heavily. I haven't put anyone there. Outer darkness is another matter...I think I have known some people who stood in the line for their own tickets to that destination. Really sad.

that's beautiful, and the hell description was entertaining and adds interest ti it, but I prefer to think of it is a pool of melted rubies or something, it is too light and jewel-like and thin to be blood(blood is more viscus and sticky than that) besides this is just too gorgeous to be related to anything bad.
