Description
The Survivor Tree that escaped death at the hands of Timothy McVeigh and all who helped him bomb the Alfred P. Murrah Federal Building, April 19, 1995.
I finally went to see it. I hadn't wanted to go before, but I finally got curious about how they did the memorial. They did a nice job.
They also have the PRETTIEST ranger working there. She was 13 when it exploded. She has to have the prettiest eyes evah! Sorry no picture. The photographer in me didn't win that internal battle to beg her to please let me take her picture. I did tell her she was lovely!
She was super-kind to my kids, explaining to my son why it's disrespectful to walk into the reflecting pool despite it being only about 1/2" deep. Sometimes that kind of thing is hard for him to understand, but that's part of what is interesting about an Aspie.
